PS 145

Weekly Classes

  • After school classes are offered Mondays and Thursdays

  • Classes will start immediately after school and run until 3:50. Students enrolled in after school programs following chess will be dismissed directly to those after school programs.

  • Monday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

    • Dates include: 9/28, 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, 1/4, 1/11, and 1/25

    • Cost is $450 for the semester ($30 per class)

  • Thursday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

    • Dates include: 9/24, 10/1, 10/8 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, and 1/28

    • Cost is $480 for the semester ($30 per class)

  • The PTA, in partnership with Eight By Eight Chess, offers a limited number of scholarships to make chess participation accessible to PS 145 students. Due to the limited spots, these scholarships are allocated through a lottery system. If you have financial hardship that genuinely necessitates financial aid, please check the box on the registration form to be considered for the lottery.
