Weekly Classes

• After school classes are offered Mondays and Thursdays

• Classes will start immediately after school and run until 3:50. Students enrolled in after school programs following chess will be dismissed directly to those after school programs.

• Monday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 1/5, 1/12, 1/26, 2/2, and 2/9

  • Cost is $540 for the semester ($30 per class)

• Thursday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 9/18, 9/25, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18, 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12

  • Cost is $540 for the semester ($30 per class)

• The PTA, in partnership with Eight By Eight Chess, offers a limited number of scholarships to make chess participation accessible to PS 145 students. Due to the limited spots, these scholarships are allocated through a lottery system. If you have financial hardship that genuinely necessitates financial aid, please check the box on the registration form to be considered for the lottery.
