PS 145

Weekly Classes

• After school classes are offered Mondays and Thursdays

• Classes will start immediately after school and run until 3:50. Students enrolled in after school programs following chess will be dismissed directly to those after school programs.

• Monday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 2/26, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25, 4/8, 4/15, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 6/3, 6/10, 6/24

  • Cost is $390 for the semester ($30 per class)

• Thursday classes are open to students of all ages and experience levels

  • Dates include: 2/29, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/13, 6/20

  • Cost is $420 for the semester ($30 per class)

• The PTA, in partnership with Eight By Eight Chess, offers a limited number of scholarships to make chess participation accessible to PS 145 students. Due to the limited spots, these scholarships are allocated through a lottery system. If you have financial hardship that genuinely necessitates financial aid, please check the box on the registration form to be considered for the lottery.

• Please note: students who attend YMCA after school are only eligible to select up to two after school enrichment classes a week. So if you sign up for chess you will only be able to sign up for one more enrichment program.
